Empowering people living with diabetes to thrive.

Diabetes Empowerment International develops and implements programs that focus on three areas: healthcare access, diabetes education, and economic empowerment.

We envision a world where all people with diabetes are thriving. Our mission is to empower underserved adults living with insulin treated diabetes to thrive.

Healthcare Access

We provide access to diabetes healthcare and diabetes testing and treatment supplies by organizing clinics equipped with medical supplies and staffed by healthcare providers in a central location, facilitating patient and community outreach conducted by community health workers and peer educators,

Diabetes Education

There is a critical need to provide diabetes education to patients, healthcare providers, and support networks, including family and community, with the goal of preventing health complications associated with poorly-controlled diabetes.

Economic Empowerment

We must support income generation projects, vocational training, and partnerships with international groups to bring income directly back to patients, so patients living with diabetes have the means for sustainable access to diabetes testing and treatment supplies which are essential to improve quality of life and longer life expectancy.

“Their recent contributions have reduced the risks of diabetes complications. I take this opportunity to address my thanks to the (Diabetes Empowerment) Fund, which helps us improve the well-being of young people living with diabetes. I hope we will continue to collaborate to save many people. ”
